( NOT FOR SECURITY OFFICERS) 07EEntry-Level Handgun Training – $150.00 This is an entry-level handgun course designed to provide foundational handgun knowledge and skills for individuals who need a firearms endorsement under DCJS (such as private investigators, armored car personnel, and other security professionals who will carry or have access to a firearm in the course of duty).

Key features of the 07E course:
• Classroom and practical instruction in handgun handling and safety (loading, unloading, draw, rebolstering, range safety).
• Fundamentals of marksmanship, including grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control.
• Low-light/dim-light familiarization practice.
• Instruction on use of force, criminal and civil liability, and firearm retention.
• Judgmental shooting scenarios and safety discussions.
• Written examination required for successful complete the course .
This is not for guard seeking to be certified as armed security officers they w I understand have to complete 075e course.
Who Typically Takes the 07E Course?
• Private Investigators (02E) who will carry a handgun
• Armored Car Personnel
• Personal Protection Specialists (PPS)
• Certain Special Conservators of the Peace (SCOP) if operating under DCJS regulatory authority
Duration: 16 hours of classroom and practical training
